Happy New Year! I'm still in shock that 2016 is behind us and we're already 4 days into 2017. In reality, this week is no different than last week except for the fact that 5 days ago we were in North Carolina on vacation. I figured what better way to kick off the new year than to share a few photos from our trip to coastal NC. It was our first Christmas "home" in a few years and I was filled with joy.
When I was growing up in Beaufort, NC... my mother and I would frequently stop in Swansboro, a small coastal town approximately 45 minutes away. I remembered the amazing sunsets and knew we would have to return (especially with my new camera lens in hand). While this sunset may be more of a "prolonged golden hour"; not filled with my favorite pastel colors... it was still absolutely gorgeous. The town and docks were empty creating an ideal location to snap a few photos.
I discovered I had a slight obsession with Beaufort Flair's statement necklaces after seeing a similar one on my best friend Melissa. I purchased this bone pendant and immediately put it on while I was in the boutique. The best part of these necklaces (other than the fact that they are only $48) is that they can easily be dressed up or down.
This may have been one of my favorite "moments" of our vacation because shortly after taking these "blog photos", we focused on more important things: family photos! We lucked out with some really great lighting and cute captured memories. What's better than that?
