The "Merritt" of Plaid

There is something so perfect about Connecticut + Plaid + Fall. It's the preppy trifecta, otherwise known as "these are a few of my favorite things" all wrapped into one moment. I found this plaid scarf at TJ Maxx on our drive back from NC. You probably saw the picture below in yesterday's post. While I didn't need to wear this scarf in every state we visited, it was necessary by the time we reached Connecticut and rode with the windows down on the Merritt Parkway. Maybe we're a tad crazy for rolling the windows down when temperatures are in the 50's, but the crisp, cool air smelled so good... Happy Friday! Have a fantastic Halloween weekend!
