Our neighborhood looked so pretty when I parked my car Friday evening.
Since Cameron had a work event on Friday, I decided to get out of the apartment and do a little shopping:
1) Cole Haan Round Sunglasses in Seaport Blue
2) Ray Ban Flat Metal Aviators in Black
3) The Savile Row Co. Black Long Sleeveless Vest
4) White Mountain Tropical Sandals
5) Delicate Lace Blouse in Morning Aqua
6) Marisa Skinny Pants in Cherry
7) Marisa Skinny Pants in Mystic Olive
9)Marisa Skinny Pants in Wheat
10) Marisa Skinny Pants in Basketweave
On Saturday, my mom and I had a "Back Bay Day" - it's our favorite girls outing. We walk (7.5 miles this time) and talk, shop and eat (at Thai Basil, since Sweetgreen was under construction). I loved seeing all the beautiful blooms.
We also stopped by this open house - just for fun!
As for shopping, my mother needed to stop by Longchamp and buy more inserts for her agenda. I fell in love with this bag while we were there. Any prepster has to check out their Surf & the City collection!
When mom heard about my luck the prior evening at Marshalls, she decided to give her luck a try. However, my luck... more precisely the luck of the Ray Ban aviators prevailed. I found 2 more versions of the Ray Ban Flat Metal Aviator style: tortoise and mint! For those who don't know me that well...I don't collect shoes, I don't even collect bags (although I would consider myself a bag lady..), but I do collect sunglasses - Ray Ban Aviators to be exact. I had such a lovely collection until our apartment was broken into and robbed during my senior year of college. They stole my entire sunglasses collection, all but the one pair of gold Ray Ban aviators you see me wearing in all my pictures and that I had had with me at the time. Anyways... it's exciting to be able to build this collection up again, especially on a budget. I have 6 pairs of Ray Ban aviators now and only paid full price for one: the blue mirrored ones that I discussed here. I know you guys are thinking..."shut up about these stupid sunglasses!" ...so I'll move on. I also purchased this silk Rory Beca Navy Romper for $25, a C. Wonder White Beaded Sweater (not pictured) for $13, and an Aerie Navy Lace Bralette (not pictured) for $4.
Our last stop of the day was 324 Newbury Street - Second Time Around. I mentioned my consignment store obsession the other day, however I may not have mentioned the BEST part about consignment: the checks! We had to stop and pick up our checks and I ended up using some of my profits on this Madewell belt. I love the mixed metals.
Saturday ended with a Rocksbox delivery (stay tuned for all these details tomorrow), the Kentucky Derby, and the Mayweather vs. Pacquiao fight.
Sunday started with church and bunny cuddles....she really does love me, even though she looks less than pleased here.
Followed by a walk near the Charles River (this view!), fresh squeezed lemonade, and Sweet Caroline's pizza for dinner!
Such an amazing weekend - I adore having my parents back in town!
xoxo!
