Greetings From Vermont
Greetings from Vermont! The second our car crossed over the NH/VT border, I spotted a massive Antique Mall.
I strolled through as quickly as possible and walked away with an antique salt box, jadeite teacup & saucer, and a vintage cocktail purse from Paris.
Just a few miles down the road we stopped at Bentleys Restaurant in Woodstock, VT.
It was an adorable and cozy little spot, full of Cam's and my favorite things:
AND sugercalifragilistic level onion rings!
We attempted to burn off our onion rings and beer with a little walk around town. Ponchos may not be the most flattering items of clothing, but these colors... so good.
We saw some of the cutest fall decorations...
...including these little ghost fellas - boo!
I obviously had to stop in a few shops, including R.T. Home.
Which had these trendy velvet pumpkins. I wanted the blue lagoon color in one of the mini sizes, but sadly they had sold out the day before. That's what I get for visiting on October 30th.
It was overcast for most of our trip, but no rain... just a few leftover drops from the prior storm.
I want to stay at The Woodstock Inn and Resort this holiday season!
Before we hopped back on the road, we briefly stopped at The Village Butcher to pick up some treats.
I wanted to stop at Hartshorn Organic Farm to grab some fruit, but they had already closed up shop.
So back on the road we went. The farther north we drove, the more snow started to appear!
We arrived at The Butler House around 5pm. I am utterly obsessed with this place - the rooms are adorable (with fireplaces in most of them) and breakfast is delicious with fresh ingredients. Get their biscuits! (and this is coming from a girl who lived in the South for over 15 years)
I quickly changed into a "date night outfit" for our dinner at The Whip Bar and Grill.
I even used my "new" vintage cocktail bag that I had purchased earlier that day at the Antique Mall.
We ended our first day in Vermont with Citizen Cider and von Trapp beer. Stay tuned next week as I share more photos and memories from this little trip.
