Holiday Decor: A Golden Thanksgiving and Christmas
As you're probably aware... poor PTP has been neglected over the past month. However, when it came to decorating for Thanksgiving and Christmas, I didn't skip a beat. Knowing that Cam and I would be in NC for Christmas, we decorated a bit earlier than normal... Thanksgiving morning to be exact.
Today my parents are coming to our gilded apartment for a holiday feast! We went all out and it smells SO good right now; turkey legs are cooking in red wine in the crockpot, a pot roast with onions and spices is in the oven, eggplant parm, asparagus and peas, and a zucchini and goat cheese tart to start!
The tablescape above is from Thanksgiving. I was so excited to use my vintage cocktail plates (I purchased them from an antique store in Plymouth, MA).
Every Black Friday, I avoid the department stores and make 2 stops: 1) Second Time Around (my mini haul is coming soon!) and 2) Anthropologie - they have the BEST Christmas decorations and ornaments, including this set pictured above.
I kept my "ugly duckling" of a pumpkin as long as Cameron would let me....
All in all, I'm pretty happy with the decor in our little place. Head on over to my Facebook page and check out the inspiration behind my tree!
